Thanksgiving Blessings

Hi Everyone,

Warm and Healthy Thanksgiving Wishes to you all.

This is the season to be filled with gratitude and joy.  What are you grateful for?  Pause for just a moment to give thanks for all the blessings and abundance in our lives and to all those people we love: family, friends, and of course, our furry or feathered buddies - where would we be without them?

What am I grateful for?  In addition to my family, friends and the cutest pets ever,  I am grateful to all of you.  Each of you inspire me with your courage, wisdom and your desire to make your life a little heathier.   I hope I have helped you along this path with some tasty dishes that will nourish body and are easy to prepare.

I look forward to seeing all of you very soon.  There are  new classes on the horizon so be sure to check my website for the latest updates.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life, and that is what I wish for all of you, a full life.

Be Well.

Nancy

Cranberries-Antioxidant Superstars

Colorful fruits and vegetables are often thought of as good sources of antioxidants, and cranberries are no exception. A new study found that cranberries, cranberry juice, and dried cranberries are excellent sources of antioxidants

Cranberries are a delicious way to get your five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Cranberries also help fight bacterial infections and urinary tract infections.

Eating more cranberries will raise antioxidant intake, an effect that may lead to health benefits such as lower risk of heart disease. Finding ways to enjoy these berries may bring a colorful and healthy change to your diet.

So try some cranberries today!

Cranberry - Orange Relish

1/2 cup Rapadura or Agave Nectar
2 t. Orange Zest
1 orange, peeled or 1/4 cup OJ

.
Cranberries are not just for eating!
How about using them to decorate. They are such a bright and cheerful fruit.  Here are a couple of ideas:

Candle Holders:
Start with cylinders of varying heights. Place red flowers, such as roses, amaryllis, and greenery in a metal flower frog. Attach the frog inside the cylinder using double-sided floral tape. Cover the flowers with water, float cranberries on top, and place a floating candle amid the berries. Change water daily. The piece should last up to seven days

Furnish with Fruit
Turn a plain glass vase into a colorful art piece by filling it with greenery and fruit studded with cranberries.
